Photoshop CS6 Training from Colortrails & macProVideoPhotoshop CS6 Transforms – Skew

This video tutorial explains how Skew Transformations work in Photoshop CS6 (it’s also applicable to earlier versions). You’ll see how it can be used to match the perspective of a shape layer, to that of a photographic layer, so that you can add creative effects like blend modes and opacity to finish the look. As in this example, Skew transformations in Photoshop are typically used in more creative workflows instead of photographic or photo-real workflows.

This segment is part of a new Photoshop training video focused on working with brush shapes and dynamics, vector tools (newly updated in CS6), and of course, transforms. Other examples of Photoshop transform commands covered in the training include: Free Transform, Distort, Warp, Smart Object transforms and others. This is the second of several Photoshop CS6 video training titles I’ll be producing this summer.
