Creating HDR Photos, Adobe Style!
I’m happy to announce another brand new course for photographers who want to learn some of the best methods for creating HDR photos! Photoshop CS6: Creating HDR Photos (Mac OS, Windows, iOS) includes not only Photoshop CS6 workflows, but also techniques that include Lightroom 4 and HDR Efex Pro 2!
Learn to work with both 16- and 32-bit output as you discover the best ways to fine-tune exposure and contrast, while preserving the most important details and colors in your photographs. So many times the HDR photos we see online contain over-the-top colors and contrast… this defeats the purpose of creating HDR photos.
HDR is about recreating human perception from a very dynamically lit scene, something that even the best cameras cannot do in a single exposure. Even the built-in “HDR features”, found in cameras ranging from iPhones to the Nikon D4, are not as powerful as what good software and a nice series of bracketed exposures can deliver. This course will get you up and running fast to do just that!
This course provides all the background you need to understand HDR and when to use it, including camera tips for capturing your series of HDR exposures, as well as start-to-finish software techniques. Ghost removal, tone mapping, contrast styling, and color adjustments are all covered in detail. The tutorial below provides a look at HDR Efex Pro 2, and explains how the Tone Mapping process and the brand new Method process (which helps you to create and control the “HDR look”) can be employed to achieve your photographic vision.
