I stumbled onto a review of the Epson Stylus Photo 3880 over the weekend from Luminous Landscape. It goes without saying their reviews are carefully thought out and can be trusted, although this one seems a little thin compared to what you typically see. Probably, since they’ve long ago reviewed other “880 series” printers (this model was about 18 months late to the party if I remember right), they just wanted to speak to the overall quality of the device and confirm that the advances of the 3880 over the 3800 are comparable to the 7800 vs. 7880 (for example), although that printer was replaced by the 7900 several months ago. I for one appreciate it though, because it’s a bit like a “stamp of approval” for photography hardware IMO. One more check-mark in the “get yourself a 3880″ column.
