While I’ve never been compelled to use it as part of my everyday workflow, Bibble Labs is making a pretty strong push to get themselves in the thick of the raw image workflow party. Going a step beyond what we’ve traditionally seen in digital darkroom tools like Aperture and Lightroom, Bibble 5 now offers layered editing directly in the application, with simple selection and masking tools to isolate raw edits to specific regions of the image. You can download the Bibble 5 Preview and check it out yourself. Another big addition is the inclusion of Noise Ninja noise reduction algorithms as part of the product, so whatever your past opinion Bibble 5 looks like a pretty impressive upgrade so far and is worth a try.
